2015 Middle School Online Summer Programs
Archer is offering summer online programs to support your daughter's continued growth in math and writing. Your daughter can take the class from anywhere with an internet connection, and a faculty mentor will guide her efforts and provide online support and feedback.
Build your daughter’s math muscle! Archer's summer math program is aligned to our Middle School curriculum to strengthen and reinforce foundational math skills. Your daughter can work at her own pace to master the skills she will need for success next year in math. An Archer teacher will guide her efforts, provide specific feedback, and review her progress.
Instructors(s): Sarah Martin, Eileen Finney
Dates: 6/22-8/14 (flexible time)
Writing is power! MS Writing Power is an online class for rising 7th and 8th graders who would like to build their writing skills and fluidity. The class runs from June 22th through July 17th. We will reinforce basic skills, work on drafting and revision, and prepare for next year’s writing challenges. Each week, new lessons and assignments will be posted online, and you will work through the writing process using Google Docs. Your daughter will also “meet” with her teacher in a weekly video conference to receive feedback, ask questions, and reflect on her growth. A computer, reliable internet connection, a Gmail account, and a Skype account are required for this class.
Enrollment: 6-17 students
Cost: $275 per student
Instructor(s): Amanda Freiler
