 | There is a creative spirit that permeates the Archer campus, evidenced not only by our students’ talent but by our belief that the arts are a vital part of education. Art can stimulate thought, encourage self-exploration, and teach people to see the world from new and different perspectives. The performing and visual arts offerings-- both coursework and extra-curricular opportunities-- provide a powerful catalyst for self-discovery, problem solving and confidence building, while opening artistic channels and inspiring creative risks.
Our blackbox theatre, dance studio, music room and ceramics, photography and art studios provide students with exceptional resources to discover and refine an artistic voice. From the stage to the darkroom, Archer students gain confidence by employing techniques learned from theoretical study, observation and hands-on practice. Classroom training is further complemented by demonstrations from working artists and exposure to the vast cultural resources of Los Angeles. A wide variety of performance opportunities and abundant displays of artwork on campus allow students to share their talents with the Archer community. |
