 | Meet the Admissions Office Beth Kemp, Director of Admissions
Beth Kemp joined the Archer community in 2002. She advises 9th graders and enjoys working with students in both this capacity and with the Ambassador Program. She also works with the Flexible Tuition Program and feels very strongly that she is upholding one of the most important founding principles of Archer--having a student body that truly reflects Los Angeles. Beth is inspired by the Japanese word “Kaizen,” meaning “improvement” or “change for the better.” It refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes. She loves reading, outdoor activities, sports, dinners with friends and watching movies with her husband, Chris and, of course, popcorn. She is a girls’ school alumna from St. Louis, Missouri and holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an International Certificate from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Gaby Fogelson, Assistant Director of Admissions
Gaby Fogelson joined the Archer community in 2006. Gaby graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY with a B.S. in Psychology and Fine Arts. A native of Los Angeles and an independent school alumna, Gaby returned to Los Angeles after working for an educational company in New York City. Gaby is proud to be part of the Archer community and especially loves getting to know the students through her role of as a 6th grade advisor. In her free time she likes to travel, exercise outdoors, follow college basketball, and spend time with her family and friends.
Liz Ganem, Admissions Associate
Liz first joined The Archer School for Girls in 1998. While she devoted most of her time and energy to teaching middle school English and history, she consistently assisted with the admissions process by serving on committees and interviewing applicants. She is deeply passionate about getting to know the applicants and their families and finds the admissions process exciting. Liz shares, “I am constantly learning: about the applicants, their histories and traditions and about our amazing school and all that it has to offer. Archer is a magical place, and I love introducing people to and helping families discover the many facets of our community.” A lover of the outdoors, the Red Sox and reading, Liz lives in Mar Vista with her husband, Brian Wogensen, a member of the Archer English Department, and their son. She holds a B.A. from Boston College and an M.A. from Middlebury College. |
