Jasmine Shackelford '06

Jasmine is a social worker from Inglewood, CA with a passion for people, culture, and adventure. She holds a BA in Sociology with a concentration in cross-cultural communication from George Washington University. She currently works as a Program Coordinator for a forensic treatment agency, serving formerly incarcerated adults in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. She works within the legal system to advocate for client treatment plans in court, and provides direct support through group facilitation, resource linkage, and collaboration with community partners and organizations. A firm believer in the power of kindness, Jasmine strives to use compassion as a tool to effect change. Outside of work, her hobbies include traveling, creating jewelry, cooking, and learning to play guitar.
