History Teacher Named Coca-Cola Educator of Distinction

History teacher Ms. Gold was named a Coca-Cola Educator of Distinction in April for her dedication to the field of education! Ms. Gold has been at Archer since 2007, teaching classes such as "Understanding the Contemporary World" and "Ethics and Social Justice."
Hannah K. '20, who nominated Ms. Gold for the honor, said she did so because of the influence Ms. Gold has had on her growth and goals since the 7th grade as a teacher, mentor, faculty advisor, and role model.

"She encouraged me to speak out and find my voice, become a leader in helping empower other girls, and instilled the values of community and service through her own love for teaching and service to others," Hannah said. "For the impact she has had on me and countless other Archer girls, Ms. Gold is entirely deserving of this celebration and distinction."
