Archer Performers Earn National Arts Awards

Archer students won 10 awards and 21 nominations in the 2019-2020 National Youth Arts Awards in August.
This year's winners include the 2020 Night of Dance for outstanding dance production, lead performance in the junior division, best ensemble, and Theatre Teacher Tracy Poverstein's "Childhood and Other Natural Disasters" as a new work. The winners were selected by a panel of more than 50 judges and reviewers. "I am so proud of our students and their ability to collaborate and build strong ensembles. Their connection, skill, and heart comes through in the Archer performances," Ms. Poverstein said. Director of Fine and Performing Arts Reed Farley added that he is beyond proud of everyone involved in last year's productions. "It takes a village to put these shows up, and I can't wait to see what we create together this year," he said. View awards and nominations
