AIM Survey
In 2014-15, The Archer School for Girls chose to administer NAIS’ Assessment of Inclusivity and Multiculturalism to gain a deeper understanding of the School's climate. Specifically, Archer was interested in learning how well students from underrepresented groups felt included and supported both academically and socially. Upon completion of the AIM survey and self-study process, Archer faculty and staff utilized the results to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Executive Summary
  • Archer scored above high performing schools in overall school morale and satisfaction with multiculturalism.
  • Archer scored as a high performing school with regard to satisfaction with inclusiveness.
  • Nearly all responses were in the healthy range.
  • Among all constituents, the following goal was identified as a priority: Members of the faculty, administration, and Board of Trustees reflect the diversity of the student body.
  • There were no high priority concerns among students. Students indicated some concern about the following aspects of Archer’s culture: students separating themselves into groups based on culture, ethnicity, and religion, and consciousness about appearance or ability.
  • Parents expressed a desire to promote diversity and inclusiveness at school.
  • Among alumnae, there was a desire for the school to address issues of socio-economic diversity and religion, and to involve alumnae in diversity initiatives.
High School and Middle Grades Survey for Student Engagement (HSSSE and MGSSE)
The HSSE and MGSSE surveys are administered every year and investigate the attitudes, perceptions, and beliefs of students about their school work, the school learning environment, and their interactions with the school community.
