Cira M. ’23’s Sculpture to be Displayed at National Exhibition

Cira M. ’23 earned a spot on the National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition in Minneapolis after winning an annual juried ceramic competition in February.
Cira created her sculpture as part of a project for Ms. Moon’s class, where students were asked to combine techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab constructing to sculpt a representation of an animal and create a functional pair of bookends. The March exhibition where Cira's work will be showcased will coincide with the annual international conference of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts.
