Students, Faculty, and Staff Participate in Global Climate Strike

On Friday, September 20, the Archer community took part in the global climate strike led by climate youth activist Greta ThunbergStudents in 8th-12th grade who wanted to participate traveled to Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles with faculty and staff chaperones to use their voices and advocate for climate change.
"A proud moment of Archer girls leaning into their possibility," Associate Head of School Karen Pavliscak shared. "They stood at the center of the strike in a circle, with fellow activists radiating out from them like a sun, and led the group in chanting and song to fight for climate justice." On campus, 6th and 7th grade students participated in activities led by the Archer Council for Sustainability to learn about and empower themselves to combat climate change.
