Middle School Scientists Present Their Research at Virtual LA County Science Fair
Several Archer students won awards at the Los Angeles County Science Fair, which was held virtually this year.
Lacey T. '24 won first place in animal biology for her research on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy passed through fruit flies. Amelia H. '24 won second place in product science for her research on using coffee grounds as an alternative to firewood. Rachel C. '25, Addie M. '25, and Gigi A. '25, received an honorable mention in ecology for researching how climate change affects marigold growth. Claire W. '24 also earned an honorable mention in ecology for examining the effects of olivine on glass anemone and PH.
