Archer Students Unplug Outdoors

Over the past few weeks, Archer students have been gearing up for the new school year by embarking on exciting outdoor excursions. At the end of August, juniors embarked on their final Arrow Week in the Wind River Range, right outside Lander, Wyoming. The goal of this course was to foster unplugged connection, promote decision-making, develop leadership skills, and encourage risk-taking.

Seniors enjoyed their senior retreat in Running Springs, CA at the Pali Institute. There, students participated in archery, high ropes, hiking, and enjoyed movie nights and class bonding.

Finally, on Friday, September 2, students in grades 6-10 headed out on their one-day Fall Outing to reconnect, welcome new students, and meet their mentors. This year’s Fall Outing trips encompassed a wide range of locations and activities, and included everything from a beach day, to a morning of wolf observation, with the wolves serving as an analogy for a high-functioning team, to an urban scavenger hunt through Downtown Los Angeles.
