Girls Set to Play at Heritage Christian Tuesday for a Spot in the Finals
 
Yucca Valley - The Archer School for Girls varsity volleyball team rolled into the CIF-SS division 7 semifinals with a 25-15, 25-21, 21-14 over Yucca Valley High School Saturday night in front of a packed gym at Yucca Valley.  Several Archer fans made the 150-mile drive to Yucca Valley, in the shadow of Joshua Tree, to support the girls.  The Archer faithful were rewarded as Yucca Valley was upended by an Archer team that won each match in the playoffs with straight sets victory. Archer (21-7 overall), who has also advanced to the CIF Final Four in 2011 and 2015, will take on Heritage Christian School (Northridge, 25-9 overall), a team that has also been dominant in the playoffs, winning each of their matches in straight sets. The game will be played Tuesday at the Heritage Christian School gym, first serve at 7:00 p.m.
The other semifinal in division 7 pits Colony High School (Ontario, 21-5 overall) against Foothill Technology High School (Ventura, 21-11 overall).  The winners of the semifinals will meet for the CIF-SS championship, which will be played at Cerritos College in Norwalk on either November 10th or 11th. The exact day and time will be announced by the CIF-SS office on Wednesday. The CIF-SS division 7 bracket is attached.

Middle School Swimming Wins PBL Championship
Team Wins 4th PBL Title in 7 Years
 
Brentwood - The Archer middle school swimming team overwhelmed the competition with a complete team effort, capturing the championship of the 20-school Pacific Basin League (PBL) at the Brentwood School pool on Saturday.  Several swimmers posted personal best times as Archer won the title for the fourth time in seven years.  
 
Middle School Cross Country and Volleyball Playoffs
Teams are in Line to Capture PBL Championships
 
Archer middle school teams head into PBL playoffs this week, with each of the teams in contention to win the championship. The middle school cross country league finals will be on Tuesday, November 7th at Kenneth Hahn Park. The team nearly won the championship last year, finishing in second place. Start time is 3:50 p.m.  
 
Both the “A” volleyball team (8th grade and under) and “B” volleyball team are top seeded in the West division of the PBL, each earning the ranking with undefeated league play.  The PBL playoffs begin on November 6th (both Archer teams have a bye in the first round), and conclude on November 9th. The finals on November 9th will be hosted at Westside Neighborhood School (Del Rey)3:30pm “B” game time and 4:45pm “A” game time.
