Archer Basketball Wins, Advances to “Sweet 16” in CIF Playoffs 
Basketball Rolls to Victory over Sherman Indian High School, Will Play Saturday, February 17, at 7:00 p.m. at Santa Monica College
 
The Archer School for Girls basketball team made the 70-mile trip across the 91 freeway on Thursday, February 15, to take on the Sherman Indian High School Braves (13-4 overall, 10-2 Arrowhead League) in the first round of the CIF-SS 5AAA playoffs. Led by All-League senior Dani R. '18, who tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds, and six blocked shots, Archer won in commanding fashion, 57-42.  Junior Caitlin Chen added 10 points, 6 assists and 3 steals, while "frosh phenom" Star Brown dropped in 14 points. With the win, Archer advanced to the second round of the playoffs where they will host the Workman High School Lobo’s on Saturday, February 17, at Santa Monica College, tip-off is at 7:00 p.m.  
 
Archer, 16-11 overall, is enjoying the school's best basketball season since 2012. This years team, who took third place at the West Coast Jamboree in Oakland over Winter Break, will now look to advance to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.

Archer Soccer Win Streak ends with Playoff Loss to Pomona Catholic
The Archer School for Girls soccer team, coming into the playoffs on a 10-game winning streak, lost a tough 2-0 decision to Pomona Catholic High School (12-12-1) at Santa Monica College on Thursday, February 15, in the opening round of the CIF-SS Division 6 playoffs.
 
Archer finished the season with a 12-5 overall record. The team won the Liberty League championship with a perfect 10-0 record, the first time an Archer soccer team has compiled such a record at the school. This season marked the fourth time in the last six years that soccer has won the league championship.
