Archer Hosts 2018 Student STEM Symposium

On Saturday, May 19, Upper School girls from across Los Angeles were invited to present their independent research projects at the annual Student STEM Symposium.
The event began with a keynote address from Lauren Lyon '01, Archer alumna and an engineer for an LA-area aerospace company where she works on the spacecraft that will take NASA Crew to the International Space Station. Students then had an opportunity to share about their research projects in poster sessions and judges for the Archer RISE Awards evaluated the finalists. Following in-depth breakout sessions wherein select students were able to present their research in additional detail, the event ended with the announcement of the 2018 Archer RISE Award honorees.
