Archer Oracle Travels to Chicago for National High School Journalism Convention

The Archer Oracle placed eighth in the Best of Show contest among small school news websites at the 2018 National High School Journalism Convention.
Ms. Taylor, Ms. Chase, and 16 Archer students traveled to Chicago for the convention, where Maya Wernick ’18’s op-ed about National Walkout Day won an honorable mention in the 2017-2018 Story of Year, Opinion contest along with the Oracle’s editorial on the same topic in the Story of the Year, Editorial contest. Oracle editors Anna B. ’20 and Siena M. ’20 and Ms. Taylor also led a workshop on press freedom in independent schools.
