  • Admissions Associate

    The Archer School for Girls is currently seeking a full-time Admissions Associate. The Admissions Associate will be an essential partner to the Director of Admissions in welcoming families as they learn about Archer, providing day-to-day support for the admissions process, and interacting with a variety of constituents including applicant families, current students and volunteers, Faculty/Staff, feeder schools, and other sending organizations. This individual is part of an energetic, dynamic and mission-driven team that plays a key role in shaping first impressions and the ongoing experiences of families throughout the admissions process.

  • Associate Director of College Guidance

    Archer is seeking qualified, experienced candidates for the position of Associate Director of College Guidance, beginning in August 2026. This position reports to and collaborates closely with the Director of College Guidance to guide junior and senior classes through every aspect of the college search and application process. Strong candidates will have experience in a college admissions environment and/or college counseling office in an independent school. Candidates should also exhibit an appreciation of and respect for a diverse academic environment and learning community.

  • English Teaching Apprentice

    The Archer School for Girls seeks an English Teaching Apprentice for the 2026–2027 school year. The English Teaching Apprentice position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in teaching English Language Arts.

    The Teaching Apprentice gains hands-on experience by working alongside a mentor teacher to build a repertoire of forward-thinking, student-centered instructional practices. Ideal candidates have a growth mindset, a positive outlook, and a strong appreciation for the importance of contributing to a diverse and inclusive community.   • History Teacher and Speech/Debate Coach

    The Archer School for Girls seeks a History and Speech/Debate Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching three classes of History, coaching the Middle School and Upper School debate teams, and serving as a mentor.

    Archer Speech and Debate is an established and growing program with strong student interest and competitive success at the local and national levels. The coach plays a central role in both sustaining and expanding the program.

  • Part-time Learning Specialist Long-term Substitute

    The Archer School for Girls is seeking qualified, experienced candidates for the position of Part-time Learning Specialist Long-term Substitute (60% FTE), starting August 2026 through TBD. The Part-time Learning Specialist Long-term Substitute joins the Student Services Team to support student learning profiles that require learning accommodations and educational interventions. This role serves as a liaison between students, teachers, parents, and outside professionals to coordinate compensatory strategies, executive functioning skills, and metacognitive awareness for students’ learning and academic success in grades 6-12.

  • STEAM Teaching Apprentice

    The Archer School for Girls seeks a dedicated and passionate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Apprentice for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with and a deep commitment to fostering a love for STEAM disciplines in middle and upper school students and have a strong background in teaching hands-on projects, 3d design and fabrication, physical computing (e.g. Arduino, Micro:bit, etc.), basic hand tools, power tools and shop safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone inclined to grow their own skills as they inspire and guide students in exploring design, technology and engineering through hands-on projects and creative problem-solving.
     
    Archer’s Teaching Apprenticeship offers new and aspiring teachers the opportunity to partner with expert educators in the classroom using the latest research on how our students learn and thrive. Apprentices get hands-on experience working alongside master faculty to develop a repertoire of future-facing educational practices.

If you are an aspiring teacher who is inspired by our girl-centric mission and eager to join a vibrant professional learning community, consider applying for an Apprentice Fellowship in the Archer Institute for Teaching and Learning. Every year, we invite promising new teachers to work with our expert educators in a laboratory of inquiry-driven curriculum and instruction. Teaching Apprentices enjoy a year-long partnership with a master Archer teacher to build their teaching repertoire, including: co-teaching in the classroom, ongoing curriculum and lesson design experience, and ample focused feedback.
