What new passion or interest did you discover while at Archer? A new passion I’ve discovered at Archer is journalism. I became interested in it during middle school, and when I finally had the chance to take the class in 8th grade, I enjoyed it even more than I expected. I loved every part of the process from interviewing people and telling their stories to designing the final articles. Journalism also inspired me to grow my podcast, Starting Something with Sahana, where I interview influential entrepreneurs and share their stories to inspire kids and teens like me.
Which academic class/subject are you most excited about? I am most excited about math! Archer has cultivated my love for math, and I love how they prioritize understanding concepts rather than pure memorization. My math teachers throughout my Archer journey so far have been spectacular. The bond and understanding I’ve built with them have helped me grow, and they will continue to inspire my love of math for years to come.
Which Archer tradition or activity do you look forward to each school year? A tradition I love is the Senior Recognition Ceremony. The Archer community is so special because of the strong connections among students of all grades. Watching the seniors who have supported me over the years say their goodbyes always makes me emotional, but it’s also very inspiring. It’s a moment to celebrate the accomplishments and growth of some of my role models and favorite big sisters!
