Garden

Designed to minimize its impacts, the garden is a zero-waste zone where everything is repurposed, reused, or recycled back into natural systems. Using biodynamic farming methods, the “Archer Grown” program has supplied impressive produce to the monthly Faculty Farmers Market. Centered around the X-Block program, students have also created a business logo, advertisements, nutritional information, and recipes for the farmers markets, and began the process of getting the garden organically certified. At any given time, students can be seen in the garden collecting scientific data, planting the next crop, composting, or just eating lunch. The garden has quickly become the poster for sustainable practices at Archer.
