9th Grade Student Wins National Award for Ceramics Piece
Marin T. '23 received the Artist Merit Award in May from the National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition Foundation for her work titled "Amphora."
Marin was one of two Archer students to win the annual juried ceramic competition this year. Her work was then reviewed again by jurors, who decided to give her a merit award. Only seven students from the 9th and 10th grades nationally received the award this year. Marin said her pottery piece is a portrayal of the butterfly effect and its theory that every small occurrence can leave a big impact. The handles on Marin's piece signify the weaving paths of fate.
