Hispanic and Latine Heritage Month Festivities

Hermanas Unidas hosted presentations this week where they welcomed all students to their club meetings throughout the school year and informed their classmates about Hispanic and Latine Heritage Month. They shared this year’s theme: “Todos Somos, Somos Uno,” which means “We Are All, We Are One.” The Hermanas Unidas board also shared their personal theme for the year: “Flipping the Script.” In honor of this theme, student leaders highlighted hispanic trailblazers that inspire them, including Doris Muñoz, Salma Hayek, and José Andrés. They also shared media spanning photography, movies, and a custom Hermanas Unidas playlist that students can consume to learn more about Hispanic culture.
The Archer School for Girls admits students of any race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation or other legally protected status to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation or other legally protected status in its hiring or in the administration of its educational policies and programs, admissions policies, financial aid programs or other school-administered programs.
