Archer Enters a New Era

On Monday, October 2, we launched a new era at The Archer School for Girls: Striking Brilliance.
After a year of dedicated collaboration with our incredible partners at Design Bridge and Partners, we are thrilled to reveal the latest evolution in the identity of The Archer School for Girls, which reflects the vibrant, future-facing, and empowering experience that unfolds within the Archer community every day.

The last decade or so at Archer has been marked by “Joyful, Ambitious Learning.” While joy and ambition will forever be true about Archer, we are evolving Archer's narrative in a way that amplifies its unique capacity to demonstrate the way that joy fuels ambition - which further fuels joy - and how this balancing act creates a "glow" that can be better expressed and expanded upon as we tell the world beyond the gates of the school who Archer truly is.

At Archer, we believe that each student has a light and spark, and our aim is to nurture the fearless inquiry, compassion, and resilience girls need to pursue their brilliance. Archer students are "striking brilliance."

Nurturing the light within our students has long been at the core of Archer’s DNA. When the school was founded, Co-Founder Dr. Diana Meehan was inspired by classical mythology as they set out to name the school. “A classical scholar described an event several thousand years old; young girls sent into the woods to build their own shelters, forage for food, and study history, poetry and dance. No one would harm them, for they were under the aegis of the goddess. She who had various titles, including the Protector of Girls—The Archer.”

Taking inspiration from our namesake, the Archer (or Artemis), our new visual identity represents the convergence of the classical with the modern while celebrating our diverse and brilliant student body and the unique Archer experience.

At Archer, we provide a safe space - an aegis - for learning, growing, and taking risks. Our highly skilled educators and staff are thoughtful in their leadership and support, always looking to new research and finding new ways to innovate and evolve to meet the needs of our students. With intentional education, you get an always current and competitive curriculum paired with leading-edge teaching techniques that foster more effective and applicable thinking and understanding.

As part of our brand launch, we decided to embrace LA’s most iconic form of advertising - the city billboard. Keep a lookout in Los Angeles and New York City to see our billboards celebrating and empowering girls and girls’ education.
