Le Grand Concours Conquis

Archer had another excellent showing in this year's National French Contest (Le Grand Concours), earning 25 medals and 32 honorable mentions. For the first time in Archer’s history, a student earned a platinum medal, reserved for the single highest scorer in each region. This is even more impressive given that the Southern California region is one of the largest and most populated in the country.
Natalie S. ’28 from French 2 was our Platinum Award winnerGold Award winners, scoring in the top 5% of the region, were Marlowe H. ’28 from French 1B and Catalina G. ’27, Sophie K. ’27, Keira M. ’27, and Beatrice W. ’27 from French 2. Silver Award winners, scoring top 15% in the region, were Isabel K. ’29 and Carmen M. G. ’29 from French 1A; Shayda J. ’28 and Sarah R. ’28 from French 1B; Valerie B. G. ’27, Camden F. ’27, and Phoebe G. ’27 from French 2; Sylvie H. ’26 and Stella L. ’26 from French 3, and  Stephanie H. ’24 from French 5. Bronze Award winners, scoring top 25% in the region, were Violet B. ’29 and Maya K. ’29 from French 1A; Magali M. ’28 and Bonnie V. ’28 from French 1B; Charlotte B. ’27 from French 2; Parker K. ’25 and KJ M. ’26 from French 4; and Zoe G. ’25 and Alex M. ’24 from French 5. Thirty-two students also earned Honorable Mentions.
