Archer places second in singles and doubles at the Liberty League tournament

Being wowed by the coaches at Oakwood, Buckiley and LeLycee, Freshman Lexie Ben-Meir displayed grace and endurance in the close to 100 degee weather, placing second in the tournament.  Her movement on the court is a thing of beauty to watch and the way she anticipates the ball is beyond her years.    Lexie now heads into the CIF individuals on November 20th, placing as #2 seed in the tournament.

Chloe Eshel and Chloe Richards fought hard, splitting sets and then playing a 10 point tie-breaker.   The entire match against Buckley was very even, untill the very end when a few points slipped away and they lost in the tie-breaker.  However, they will continue into CIF individuals as the #2 seed for doubles.

Having a singles and a doubles team from Archer in the finals of the Liberty League Tournament should be applauded by all.  It shows strength in both areas and since they are all either Freshman and Sophmores, 2018 will be another opportunity for them.

Good luck to both teams at the CIF individuals.
