Archer wins first league match against Buckley

Paula Feigenbaum
Great win today, 11-7 against Buckley.  It came down to the last round of doubles.  We were ahead 9-6, so it could have tied and then we would have had to count games, or we could win.

It was a battle from the beginning as many of our girls weren't feeling well.  I could just see the low energy from the start, but so many came out to play even though they weren't feeling well,  We had some go down during the match so we regrouped with new doubles teams.

Anyway it was a great effort, and you should all be very proud.
After making the finals at the USTA First Serve tournament last Saturday, the tennis team was prepared for their first league match against Buckley.
Winning all of her singles matches, Lexie Ben-Meir is off to a great season.     Her sister, Naya, a Freshman, played doubles with Chloe Eshel and they also won all three of their matches.
The final score came down to the last round of doubles.   Archer was ahead 9/6, so it could have tied and then we would have had to count games, but we prevailed and WON.
Way to go girls!  It was a great team effort.
