JV's First match ends with a "W"

Paula Feigenbaum
Today the combo JV/Varsity team played  the Crossroads JV team and won 12-5.  It was Lola's first time playing in a match since she injured herself over the summer.  She has been to every practice, and every match, and absorbed all of the tips and strategies.  She successfully used them with Amelia today, winning 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1.
Nina and Leah (who were in middle school last year on the scrimmage team) also swept in doubles setting each other up and putting the ball away at the net.

Katie, Billi and Destiny had a harder time as Crossroads actually had some decent singles players.  Katie's first match alone probably lasted an hour and then she went on to win the next 2.  Billi was victorious in her third round and Destiny (with her new Wilson racket that she won) learned some valuable lessons.

For many of the girls this was their first match playing singles, and their first match playing 3 rounds of doubles.  They encouraged each other, worked hard on the court, forgot the score a bunch of times, and ended up supporting one another and winning yet again.
