6th Grade Student Wins her Fifth Library Writing Contest

Parker K. '25 recently won first place in the Pacific Palisades Library Writing Contest for a light-hearted essay about her path to Archer and how it relates to ice cream.
This was Parker's fifth win in the annual contest, which asked students to write about the theme of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry this year.

"Just like I would do in the ice cream store, it was time to have a sample of each school. I started going on tours ... and I soon realized that each school had its own particular unique flavor," Parker wrote in her essay. After sampling all of the flavors, Parker chose chocolate: Archer. "Chocolate is sweet but complex, tasteful and compelling all throughout and that’s exactly what I want for the next phase of my education," she wrote.
