War on Waste

The Archer Council for Sustainability (ACS) spent the beginning of 2016 conducting a “War on Waste” to incorporate sustainability into all aspects of campus operations. The first steps were to take stock of current practices, determine a baseline of recycling produced, observe high student traffic areas, inventory current trash and recycling bins, use test bins as a pilot program, reassess the effectiveness of early efforts, and set new goals. In the Fall of 2016, the ACS began the year with education and training for the Archer community on best recycling practices and how every member can contribute to the increased improvement of the Archer campus.
