Archer Varsity Tennis Powers to 3-0 in Liberty League with Win Over Buckley

Keith Coleman
Archer Varsity Tennis played a relaxed, committed and confident match v. Buckley on Wednesday September 27, finishing up with an 11 – 7 victory. The Team was led by it’s singles line which won 7 out of 9 matches. Chloe Richards is returning to her dynamic form as she pushed through with wins at (6-0 and 6-2). Dylan Marmur hit with considerably more power on her serve and with her whip-snap forehand: winning 2 of 3 matches (6-0 and 6-1). Lexie Ben-Meir continued her winning ways remaining undefeated in Liberty League play with (6-3, 6-0, 6-0) match victories.  Ben-Meir is the hardest working girl in tennis: she manufactures points, outlasting her opponents with a variety of shots: lobs, slices and drop shots. #1 Doubles Team Elyse Pollack/Izzy Simanowitz rebounded from an early loss to convincingly win their next two matches (6-0 and 6-1). Junior Varsity players Lola Lamberg/Katie Nash played in their first Varsity League competition and notched a 6-2 match win. Zoe Woolf/Hannah Katzenstein rounded out the victory column with a 6-3 win. Varsity Tennis has exhibited a willingness to learn, listen and be pushed to their potential.
