Alyssa P. '23 Named Regeneron STS Scholar

Senior Alyssa P. ’23 has just been named a Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar for her research entitled “The Effects of Bisphenol A (BPA) on Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) Phenotypes in Male and Female Wild-Type and dFMR1 Mutant Drosophila melanogaster.” Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. Alyssa is one of 300 scholars, selected from an applicant pool of 1,949 students from 627 high schools across 48 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and four other countries. The top 40 finalists will be announced Tuesday, January 24.
