Archer Soccer Star Liadan S. '17 Named Co-MVP of Liberty League

Six Archer Athletes were selected to Winter Sports All-League Teams, including two-time MVP Liadan S. '17.
Varsity soccer captain Liadan S. '17 was named Co-MVP of the Liberty League on Sunday, February 26, at the Winter Sports All-League Selection Meeting, as announced by the Liberty League President Andrew Bencze of Providence High School.

Liadan led the Archer girls to a 10-3-1 overall record, 8-1-1 in league play. Archer won the league championship three times in Liadan’s four years on the team.

This marks the 16th time an Archer athlete has been named League MVP. Liadan is the fourth to receive two MVP awards, joining softball pitcher Kam B. ’18, tennis doubles champion Sara R. ’17, and former Archer great Maia B. ’14, who won twice for basketball. Liadan, however, becomes the first Archer athlete to be named “MVP” in two different sports in the same year, having been named MVP along with Sara after winning the tennis doubles league title this past Fall season.
Also named to the soccer all-league team were Rachel P. '17Ella D. '19, and frosh phenoms Riley A. '20 and Sophie L. '20. Archer basketball stand-out Dani R. '18 was selected to the basketball “all-league” team.
