Meet the Guidance Team

Ms. Gabrielle Dorsey

Director of College Guidance

Gabrielle Dorsey joined Archer’s College Guidance team in 2017 after serving as an Associate Director of College Counseling at Marin Academy in the Bay Area. Prior to college counseling, Ms. Dorsey worked in college admission for several years at American University and Rice University, where she was also an Associate (or mentor) in the residential college system. Her years in admission took her all over the US and a few other countries as well. She continues her work in admissions as a Freshman Reader for UC Berkeley.

Ms. Dorsey is a proud alumna of the University of Miami, where she studied Creative Writing and Spanish. She also earned a Master of Arts in International Communication from American University, with a focus on intercultural relations.

In her free time, Ms. Dorsey finds herself fascinated with people, culture, and places. She is an avid traveler and also enjoys writing and dance.

Ms. Jee Won Lee

Associate Director of College Guidance

Jee Won Lee joined Archer's College Guidance team in 2018 after serving as Senior Associate Director of Admission at Whitman College. Ms. Lee has also worked in Admissions at Pitzer College and at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Ms. Lee has spent much of her career getting to know the landscape of secondary and higher education in Southern California and has also worked in international admission at multiple institutions.

Ms. Lee is a proud alumna of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she studied English Literature. She also earned a master's degree in Higher Education from Harvard University. Walking her dog, throwing pottery, rowing, reading, and exploring the L.A. food scene are some of Ms. Lee's favorite activities.

Ms. Marla Terry

College Guidance Coordinator

Marla Terry brings her perspective and experience as an alumni parent at John Thomas Dye and current Archer parent as well as several years experience in the admissions office of Westside Neighborhood School to her unique position at Archer. Ms. Terry works with both incoming families as an interviewer with the Admission office and with the College Guidance team as they guide 11th and 12th grade students through the college application process. Prior to her work with students and families at Archer, Ms. Terry had a long career in the fashion industry and is a graduate of FIDM.
